As a private Investigator for over 25 years there’s no such thing as sleeping in. My alarm is set between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. every morning, it also depends on the travel distance. My advice is to get in the habit of going to bed early. Definitely exercise and drank lots of water throughout the day. Also keep a cooler full of ice and water for the hot days. In the heat, I learned that eating salt and vinegar chips help you stay hydrated, of course not too many bags. During surveillance if you can park in a shaded area, it helps the car to stay cool without running your AC hard all day but I know that’s not always possible. I’ve also learned that while on mobile surveillance always try and stay to the far right because most drivers use their left driver side mirror the most when looking behind them. Always try and stay behind vehicle you’re following to maintain the integrity of the surveillance. If following a client inside an establishment to get covert. There’s a small keychain camera called an 808, which is very easy to set the date and time. We know some of these cameras are very difficult to set. You can also use your cell phone these days as long as you're using a self-stamp camera to place the date and time on your video, which is a must with any kind of video. I say all this to let you know, I know how the days can be. That’s why it’s very important to make sure you have insurance coverage for your family.
